Tobacco Control Program

Primary Policy Goal:
To mobilize the targeted communities of Hawaiian Gardens, Artesia, Bell Gardens, Bellflower, Pomona and the City of Hollywood for the purpose of passing self-service display ordinances that will ban all self-service tobacco displays from all stores and businesses.

Secondary Policy Goal:
To mobilize the targeted community of Norwalk Gardens for the purpose of passing an ordinance that will require all merchants to be licensed to sell any type of tobacco products. The ordinance will include a provision that if any merchant illegally sells tobacco products through self-service displays, then that merchant will lose their license to sell tobacco products within the targeted community.
